IMPORTANT: We use Google Accounts to manage our permissions for shared resources. The email provided on your enrollment forms will be the Google Account added for your child's class. Keep in mind, any email address can be a Google Account (e.g. @yahoo.com, outlook.com, etc.) although using a @gmail.com email address provides the best experience.

Teachers
Melissa
Melissa joined the team at Oakland Garden School in 2022. She has worked with children since 2017 both as a nanny and as a toddler teacher. Melissa has a talent for building routines in the classroom and engaging children fully in everyday activities. She is passionate about watching the personalities of young children emerge and develop as they grow.
Alba
Alba earned her bachelor degree in Sociology in 2016. She began her work with children as an ABA therapist and and Infant/Toddler development specialist for a non-profit organization. Alba speaks English and Spanish and has worked as a teacher in immersion programs as well as play-based models. She originally joined OGS in 2021, then came back after a break in 2022. She is passionate about the reward of seeing all aspects of a child’s development. In her spare time, Alba loves dancing salsa, trying new cuisines, enjoying good coffee, and spending time with her husband, Isaac.
Lakeisha
Lakeisha studied Child Development at American River College and Merritt College. She has been working in Early Childhood for over fourteen years. She is passionate about supporting children in making discoveries and learning outdoors. In her spare time, she also enjoys exploring the outdoors, taking road trips with her husband and spending time with her own two amazing children.
