Meals & Snacks
OGS provides balanced and nutritious, wholesome snacks throughout the day, including one bread or protein and one item from fruit/vegetable group. The children also help prepare and serve their own snacks with a teacher’s help. For example, children bake bread and will brew fresh tea from the garden. Children will often enjoy dining al fresco in our picnic area, weather permitting. Families bring their children’s lunches, and we ask that they be well-balanced and peanut-free.
Late Pickups / Early Drop-Offs
Late pick-up fee is $25 and Early drop-off fee is $15. Late pick-up and early drop-off fees are automatically billed in Brightwheel
Parking
We strive to maintain a positive relationship with our neighbors and to be considerate. The Oakland Garden School’s Conditional Use Permit issued by the City of Oakland establishes strict and specific requirements regarding parking and street conduct for all staff and parents. Accordingly, the School has established and will actively enforce the policies in order to comply with the terms of the Conditional Use Permit, to respect our neighbors and to promote the safety for all. We ask all parents to acknowledge parking policies upon enrollment.
